Mr. & Mrs. Little (Hugh Laurie, Geena Davis) are portrayed with good-natured, storybook purity, and the rest of the flick follows suit, first when their unaccessible pussyfoot “son” royalty (perfectly vocal by archangel J. Fox) befriends an parentless vocalist (Melanie Griffith), who is reluctantly concealing from the Littles for the wicked Falcon (James Woods).
